Is there a paint roof treatment out there for bus roofs (metal) that has insulation and rubbery (sealing) properties. |

There was one on Ebay a while back. The company would ship the product to you from California, or you could make an appointment with them and they would do the roof for you. It had a 10 year no hassle warranty. I will try and find the link for you. -- BILL |

This is a system to cover your bus roof. However, it is not the system I was talking about!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RV-Motorhome-EPDM-Rubber-Roof-System-40-x-9-6_W0QQitemZ2301 36067320QQihZ013QQcategoryZ50073QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem |

Ceramic coating beads for paint comes up at least once a year it seems...Has no r -value rating cause no way to prove it does...not endorsed by nasa...just uses a process created by nasa...nasa uses it 3-4inches thick....compare it to two good coats of white paint...snake oil is snake oil....your bus your money gg04 |

R.C. I talked to these people. This product is not for rubber roof r.v.s. This is to overlay your coach or bus roof to insulate it and prevent water leaks. Did you go to their website??? They even show a coach that they have treated. As I said before, I have not used them but the guy was very helpful in explaining their methods. -- BILL |

Tomcat, Did you brush, roll, or spray the coating on the roof? How many coats? Did you end up with a smooth texture? Thanks. |

Hey Chuck, I applied it just like house paint. Cut the edges in with a brush and rolled the rest. I put on 2 coats. Your finished texture will depend on the application method, such as knap of roller. It looks smooth, but will feel a bit rough to your hand. Jay 87 SaftLiner |

Not sure about the paint being rubbery but I am going to go the ceramic route. That along with sprayed foam insulation should go a long way towards keeping the temps down. Put a couple of rooftop a/c units on it and it should be good to go. Good luck. |

I talked to Sue at accentstipes.com yesterday. She told me that they have done several buses. She also told me that the product they use was originally designed for industrial buildings with metal roofs. She said she would be more than happy to talk to anyone who is interested in their products. As I stated before, these people were very kind and helpful when I talked to them before as well as yesterday. I plan on having this done on my coach in the future. It was explained to me that they have a 3 step method and the results speak for itself as well as a "10 year no leak no hassle guarantee"! Their toll free number is 1-866-370-0305. You have nothing to lose frome the call, only knowledge to gain. -- BILL |

I am using cool seal available at Home Depot, if it comes off or gets damaged it is very easy to blend the area. It is also very inexpensive compared to some of these, 5 gals $44. |

This stuff will peel off if needed, I had to reinstall a cap on an exhaust vent and just used a razor to trim the area then peeled it off, poured back in to fill it again. |
