Local newspaper has a Prevost conversion listed for sale. Am going to go look at it, might find something interesting or an interesting idea.

But, in the meantime, does anyone know where Prevost puts the VIN on their coach?

If the manufacturer's plaque is missing, do they also stamp it onto the chassis somewhere?

TIA. . .

:-)

Hi RJ,

As long as you're looking for something interesting, this usually stumps Prevost neophytes...

Ace -

Thanks for the tips. I'll look in both places as I scour the coach for clues.

Ian -

Ah, yes, the old six speed. Had forgotten that quirky Quebecian pattern.

Hi RJ
I have a 91 LeMirage and as Ace said, there is VIN plate near the drivers left foot and one in the right front windshield near the front post. I am not aware of any others anywhere else.

That shift pattern indicates a Spicer 1062 or 1063.

I have an 81 LeMirage and. The VIN is on the drivers side defroster vent, visible through the drivers windshield.

All -

Thanks for the tips. Found the VIN riveted to the passenger side defroster vent, and stamped on the frame rail near the where the factory A/C compressor would be mounted.

Very interesting coach, this one. Will have more details after Prevost comes back to work from their summer vacation and I can verify what I've found.

Stay tuned. . .

:-)
