I have a a Heart Freedom Combi 10-24 V Inverter. Part number 81-0110-24 that has quit charging and invering, possible due to a recent close lightning strike. Is there anywhere to get one repaired economically?

Stephen,

Were you hooked up to a power pole at the time of the strike? If the damage came from the power grid and not from a direct strike to your bus you may have recourse. If that is what killed your inverter the power company is liable for repair. If so, call them and notify them of your pending claim. Their system is supposed to be protected. They will try to deny it, but they will pay for it if you push it.

Good luck

We have a Heart 2500 in our XL and it, like most of the components on the bus, was not working when we bought it. Zanax bought Heart a few years back and when I contacted them they told me that they sold all the inventory of parts for Heart and refer all service issues on them to:

Dave Gusdorf
505 983 4095
Santa-Fe New Mexico

I would describe him as courtious, knowledgable, and trustworthy. No doubt he will be able to answer that question and probably make a repair where alot of others would not.
