On an mci 5 24 volt system does someone make a voltage reducer for the 12 volt system on the tow vehicle so you can have your cars light system function with the bus ? |

Ed - They sell kits like this *BX8869 Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit* at Walmart, AutoZone, and all camping stores. Fit it with 24v bulbs of the correct type, and away you go! |

All it takes is a handful of 24v automotive-type relays, available at Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Allied, or Newark. Here's a circuit diagram: http://odyssey.smugmug.com/gallery/131040#4750590-O-LB You should be able to put this together for under $20. -Sean http://OurOdyssey.BlogSpot.com |

24 volt to 12 volt Any electronics store, not radio shack, has a 24volt to 12volt resister. less than a buck. 3 prongs, 24 volt in, ground, 12 volts out. stick any where you wish to reduce voltage. I added led marker lights, just took off of any 24 volt light. |

I did the same thing Gary did. Radio Shack voltage regulator, they didn't have them at the local store so I ordered off the internet. I wanted them for the LED marker lights also. One was enough to handle the load but I paralled two of them for safety in case one burns out the lights will continue to work. They have a fairly small amperage rating so check your load and remember, paralleling two of them doubles your amperage rating. Ed |

Hi: If your 24 volt system is made up of 2 or more 12 volt batteries, simply tie into the connection between the batteries to pull off your 12 volts. That's how the RTS runs all their lighting on 12 volts. AyJay |
