Is ther any reason I can't tow the F150 4wd with automatic, as long as there is a mechanical transfer case? Mike in GA |

Ford has a pamphlet on flat towing, and they say if you have a manual transfer case shifter you can flat tow. It has a neutral position and the transmission can be and auto or standard. This info came from Ford about an 05 F-150. I don't know about other model years. Ed |

Mike, We towed our F250 4WD. Transfer case in Neutral, transmission in Park. We tow our Grand Cherokee 4WD the same way. Just make sure the steering wheel is not in the LOCK position. (Don't ask me how I know that!) Jack |
