If you are referring to the turn signal lamp that is just forward of the front wheel, you can get those anywhere that sell truck marker lamps. I used Peterson the last time I replaced mine. Link: http://www.pmlights.com/products.cfm?cId=2&fId=1&pId=1400 |

Barn-Owl, Those would work but I am looking for ones that look like a beehive and will mount without any interferance from the ribs in the aluminium. BTW mine weren't set up for turn signals just marker lights. Jim |

Jim - Here's a couple of sources: West Coach Services in Chino, CA: 909-464-1025 California Bus Sales in Fresno, CA: 559-566-0167 or 800-331-6183 These side "beehive" turn signal/marker lamps were also used by Crown and Gillig on their school buses. West Coach specializes in Crown stuff, CBS handles new Thomas Bilt, but has parts for most major brands. Either outfit should be able to help. For best results, I'd suggest you replace the entire lamp assembly, not just the lens. Either way, both should be available. IIRC, CBS also has a wide assortment of LED lighting, they might even have the beehives in that configuration, too. I'm surprised that these lights aren't turn signals, most are. FWIW & HTH. . .
PS: What's the VIN on your coach? PD4106-XXXX? |

RJ I was hoping someone might have had luck at a Auto store. I hate to wait for parts when I start on something. I'll give them I try and maybe call Luke. My coach is PD4106-1631, can you give me any info on it??? From the best that I can tell it was only set up as a marker light.... since I am rewirng the hole thing maybe I will switch over to turn signals too. Thanks for your help Jim |

Jim - PD4106-1631 was delivered new in January of 1963 as fleet number 325 to Hudson Transit Company, based out of Mahwah, NJ. Calling Luke is really a good idea here, as he may be familiar with the company, and would perhaps know whether or not these lamps were clearance or turn. 1-888-262-2434 FWIW & HTH. . .

Larry, from the book I have it states that if used some coaches have two front side lights that are used as the directional signal system. Even the wiring diagram shows it as "only if used". So I am asuming not all the buses used it as a turn signal. Anyhow do you have any ideas where I can get some? Jim (Message edited by schrec on September 18, 2007) |

Jim - What book are you using? X-something on the upper RH corner of the front cover. My schematics only show turn signals also. Do you have a picture of your coach's installation? |
