I have no monetary interest in this, so I pass it along to anyone that might. The auction is Oct 13, at 550 W. Dewey Road, Owosso, Michigan, and I may go out of curiosity. http://www.wilsonauctionltd.com/calendar/pdf/20071013-1030.pdf I looked at the coaches today. They have probably not been used in 5 years so they will need some TLC. All engines run. Conversions were done fairly good initially, but they will need varying degrees of work now. Auction Results - The auction occured today. http://www.wilsonauctionltd.com/calendar/pdf/20071013-1030.pdf All 3 buses were converted and sold with 15 to 17.5 KW diesel generators. They all need work. But, I consider them bargains. (None went to scrap.) The results - MCI 5a , 8V71 Auto - $3200. MCI 8 , 8V71 Auto - $3200. MCI 8 , 8V92T Auto, raised roof (Heartland Conversion I think). - $12,000. Ed Roelle Flint, MI |

Holy Cow! I went to see them yesterday (forgot my camera) with a buddy and there was huge potential there. The 5a was the best condition, and had the best quality interior of the three, but was the least flashy. The generators and webasto's in those units were worth more than that. I would really have been afraid of the raised roof model seeing the accident damage to the front and also seeing the twist to the trailer hitch. I would expect to see at least one of these on e-bay. |

I bought the Mci5a. I think Ed said it was featured in national bus trader quit a few years ago. Way ahead of it's time when converted and still many features not found in todays conversions. I'll be at Bussin' 08 this year for all you curiosity seekers. The only bus that will be on ebay will be my 4104....This was such a bargain I couldn't pass it up. $3200 for the coach and $500 for the genset. Heck, where are you going to get a 15 kw martin diesel generator with 1300 hrs on it for $500 bucks. I paid almost that much for my 04 and it had to be gutted, floor replaced, new windows ect. ect. I didn't realize how much hard work and time it takes to convert a bus from the ground up, but I do now. Hopefully with some minor repairs and updates this will be a very unique coach.
