I had been thinking about doing a bus conversion since 1970. We finally got our bus (1985 102A3 MCI) in Feb 1997. We finished the conversion in June 2000 and have put about 26000 miles on it since. I am removing a perfectly good 6V92TA with Allison 740 and replacing them with a Series 60 with Allison 4060 World transmission. Will have to extend the bus about 15 to 18 inches to get it in with new reconfigured cooling package. Planning on three months for the job. DrEd |
