Posts I've read before about different methods of removing excess spray in foam insulation were very helpful. I used the wood screws into a round piece of plywood on angle grinder trick to remove some more insulation for a change I am making on the inside work of the conversion on my 06. The pieces torn off were a good size and did the job quickly. I used a belt sander to do the final trimming for a job that looks good. One note, however, A shop vac works great to clean it all up but on low humidity and a plastic hose the clean up was ..... "electricfying!" |

Actually, I don't remember what, if any, other methods there were -- maybe I just paid more attention to ones that I could do (I had an angle grinder). I remember reading using machine bolts instead of wood screws through the plywood disk -- and be sure and use a thick enough plywood the screws or bolts don't break out (1/2" worked well for my little job -- about two leaf and garden trash bags worth of material taken off) BTW -- don't forget full face dusk mask(I used an old gas mask with gause in the air intake -- but I should have stuffed some in my ears too!). |
