After reading David Lower's post, I got to thinking, I prob. never introduced myself. My name is John Penzotti and I live in Lewiston, NY (just north of Niagara Falls). Been a "lurker" here for about a year. Am a 1 month old owner of an '87 NJT MC9. After an initial problem with no fuel, and some minor air problems, it seems to be a good runner. I have got the seats out and half the luggage rack down so far. The weather has turned cold here (20's to low 30's), so its kind of slowed down progress. Had the pleasure of meeting Jack C. over the summer and got a tour of his bus. Was planning on a trip to Acadia this year for the rally, but family commitments might change those plans. Already looking forward to spring ! |

Welcome to the "BusNut" family John. Don't forget to document your progress on the conversion and post a few photos for us curious "nuts" also... |

Indeed welcome. And you'll find it's a diverse, helpful community. Many of us are retired; some are building an "occasional RV", others want a "get away from winter" seasonal home, others are fulltimers. And there are some who are younger and are looking for an alternative home for families. If it weren't for this website, I'd probably have chucked the whole idea in a while ago - as it is, the info and advice here has been worth *thousands* of $$$$. And because of the info and advice, my "finished product" will be a lot more useful and enjoyable. |

Welcome John, I am also hampered by the cold in my project. I now know why a lot of folks first build a "bus barn" and then get a bus. We had a foot of snow over the weekend and another 5 inches last night. Bah |

Welcome John, I'm sure you have found this site useful as you have been "lurking". Enjoy the madness and like Austin said "Document your progress and post pictures". Lots of very knowledgeable folk here who are willing to give you help. Good Luck Paul |
