Ok I'm really not new I,ve been sitting on the sidelines ,keeping my mouth shut for about 11/2 years just reading about good stuff.buses
Anyway my wife(ms.audrie)and I have been traveling the last twenty five years, trailers mostly fifth wheels around the country, seen everything twice, even went to anchorage,ak.I didn't think I'd ever get my wife out of there, had to lie to her, told her were coming back.Anyways in back of my back of my mind I've always wanted a bus.we've stayed at a lot of RV parks in are life time, but any time you'd see people in a bus (excuse me, coach)they were more friendly always wanting to show off their coach.
I bought ms audrie a house in kalkaska,mi couple years ago, built a barn 36x52,ya you guessed it,bus barn for a busnut.I,ve been looking for the right bus, for two years now and I found one tmc crusader 1979 come from texas, ya no rust.
I got one more year till retire, after that I'll spend more time on bus. my wife says no more traveling, but what if we wake some morning and I say hey I wonder if they still got that hole the ground in arizona and my darling wife says if I want to see a hole in the ground I'll in the back yard to one of your unfinished projects. hey with that I'M out of here.happydays to ya.

p.s joe camper thanks again, remember provost 37,000 I don,t know if it sold on e-something or not.

ps I know ,Iknow ,you want pictures ,when I get them ,you get them.

Welcome Al,

I just bought a GMC 4104-204 in Oct. of this year. Had a Southwind years ago, got rid of it, and been wanting a bus ever since. My wife is 3 years from retirement (I'm self employed & can take jobs on as necessary). I'm just building a new barn for my bus too...32 x 56. With all this crap weather we're getting, I wish it was done.
Just wanted to say hi from another newbie...

Take care.........Jamo

Al,
Welcome, and please don't apologize for being a newbie, we were all newbies back when.
Ed's welcome is made with humor, and as I am in the middle of part of the uproar he is talking about, I would like to add the following, also to be taken in fun!
Ask about anything, a whole bunch of us will gladly share our experiences, there aren't any dumb questions, there's a lot of us out here with expertise in all of the areas of bus conversion, and if we didn't want to help, we wouldn't be here.
What Ed is talking about, is two posts, one I won't discuss, the other involved a bus nut who made a post describing how great his electric toilet and heater were, and that he did it "in spite of everybody on the board telling him it wouldn't work." Then he told us we weren't "up on modern technology." That stirred us all up! Then when posters explained that he didn't have a big enough generator, or a big enough inverter to run his all electric bus, he had to make tacky remarks about body parts, instead of saying, Gee, I never thought about THAT before!
Once again, welcome, and if we find a cure for this affliction, we'll share it too.
Another suggestion is the archive section. Just as we were all newbies, your question may have been asked before, and the answers are already there instead of having to post and wait for replies.

When does one stop feeling like a newbie? I'm going on two years now and still feel like one.
