I HAVE A 8V92T IN A PREVOST. IN ABOUT 6000 MILES I LOSE A GAL. OF WATER. I PARK COACH ON A PAINTER FLOOR AND THEIR IS NO WATER ON IT. DO YOU HAVE TO ADD MAKE UP WATER IN THE EXPANTION TANK ? |

If I fill my expansion tank to the top it looses coolant. it likes to have only about 1/3 full cold or it overflows through the overflow tube, rear left right behind the bumper, probably while running. I use a 5/16 inch wooden dowel to check level. I cannot feel or see the coolant when it is where it holds without loss. The expansion tank is so high above the radiator that if there is anything in it the radiator is full. If you have a bad cap you could be loosing water to evaporation. I have a 1981 Le Mirage with an 8V71TA. |

The expansion tank MUST have some room for the water to expand, if you fill it to the brim some will discharge , to create that expansion room. The water level should stay at that lower level indefinatly , or your cooling system has a leak. FAST FRED |
