Looking for a good place to get a new steering wheel and a replacement driver's seat for my 4108 gmc. Any suggestions where to look?

Have a great day.

I found a steering column at at truck salvage yard that was out of a snub nose fire truck. It had all the goodies like tilt, telescopic, turn, light, windshield wipers[electric] washer.smaller wheel. I took my 4905 out and with a little fitting it works perfect.

What kind of seat do you have? Is it too much to ship?
Have a great day.

change it to a used truck air ride seat, you'll never be sorry. At least use the lower air ride part and attach the seat of your choice.

Hello.

Yes, air ride seats smooth out a long drive!

However, if you haven't used one, when selecting your air ride seat, care must be taken to be sure its motion is properly dampened.

An older seat may require replacement parts for the shock absorber function, and be aware that there were some less expensive seats manufactured that had fairly unrestricted movement.

These will fool the novice into thinking it is "better", as it moves up and down more easily when you try sitting in it.

Trouble is, when you go over a sizable bump, the seat travels easily up and then harshly bottoms out, jolting you against the seat base.

This is no good. If you don't have neck and back trouble now, it will give you some!

A poorly dampened chair also makes clutch work a little tricky, the seat rises as you try to push down on the clutch.

Like every other good thing, you have to watch what you are doing!

happy coaching!

If you time the up and down ocsilations right,Push in the clutch when coming down and leave up when coming up. :-)

Cliff, there was a small yard in Reddick nof Ocala, but its been awhile, and Tampa area Riverveiw and Sefner had some, maybe Bushnell still has something, And Wildwood on 301south of the big road. Most trucks are picked clean pretty quick.
