The fun has started. Around noon yesterday the early birds started arriving. By 4:00 PM all 7 of the early birds were settled in -- next on the NO Agenda weekend was to eat. Seafood sounded good and -- it was good! Everyone had that full, well kept, contented look that goes with a good meal and good fellowship with old new and friends. The facilities here are terrific - large sites, shade trees and friendly people and as usual when a group of Busnuts gather there are the lookers and dreamers and we are being looked at --- and that's a good thing! It's gonna be a fun weekend - come on down if you can. |

Post some pictures when you can. You guys have fun and stay safe. These smaller rallies are so much fun, you get to meet the nicest folk. Hopefully one day we'll cross paths on the road and kick a tire or two. |

WELL!!!! Now I'm hungry...GENE!! Need emergency assistance for sausage withdrawl! I haven't eaten that much food...ever! Getting back into a normal day (relative term for a busnut) is going to be hard. All we did was practice for the next meal for 3 days! Whatta life! Let me be the first to say that I completely enjoyed meeting everyone! And eating. Dave and Darrell supplied enough excellent sausage to feed an army and Gene had some great spaghetti and BBQ...enough to feed another army! By the time the wimmens added to the fare...there was soo much good food! Gads! The 'non-planned' event works for me. Bus people are the nicest folk! Even their dogs are nice! Not a curmudgeon in the crowd! The campground was very nicely maintained, and they were as accomodating. Having the 'clubhouse' available was great. The dining area made for an all-weather event. Between all of us, there are hundreds of pix... We need a place to use as a clearing house for the pix? GARY??!!! Our return trip was bikers and buses. Motorcycles everywhere! No problem. Hope everyone's return trip was uneventful. We got back in 3 hours. Mr. 'I don't need a GPS' (me) took a wrong turn...got the pleasure of seeing downtown Maxton. Not much to see really. Added five minutes to my trip though...bummer! Nice ride. Didn't even run the AC. Nice part...didn't have to wash the bus! Very cool. Bus is ready for it's next trip in 3 weeks...maybe Doyle will show up at 'Big-Lick?' Teach the Texas dude some new music styles...we got S*@#-kickin' music! Gene, put me down for next year! Same time, same place! Big thanks to Gene, Darrell, and Dave Lang for their chef skills!..and food! And Gene for dealing with the logistics of organizing a rally! Cheers, JR |

Well, Ed, Claudia and Mom just left... so Coffee and I will close down the camp for this year. Thanks to all for the great camaraderie and food. I really enjoyed the one-on-one visits with each of you and look forward to the Blew-Rich Mtns. thanks to Bill Haga's tips and pointers as well at the Outer Banks per Dave and Carol Lang. Got a quick note from Gene, and hope you will all remember Frances in the quick passing of her brother. Prayers, thoughts and thanks to the Lewis Family. dg |

Well, Just wanted to let everyone who wasn't there know what a good time they missed. Enjoyed meeting everyone, finally put some of this messages on the board with actual faces and busses. Want everyone who was there to know that mom really enjoyed herself it being her first trip in the bus since dad passed. JR summed it up right all we did was practice for the next meal to eat. Looking forward to another. Will post some pictures soon on my webshot page will let you all know. Ed |
