Hi Folks, Just recieved this from Dometic...

June 25, 2008'

Dometic has voluntarily expanded it's recent refrigerator recall to include some of the 2 door refrigs manufactured between June 1 2003' and Sept 30 2006' in RV's.

The problem, after some period of use, a fatigue crack may devolop in the boiler tube of the covered refrig. that may release a sufficient amount of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source may be presant. Under certain conditions, the coolant could ignite and result in a fire. This defect relates to Motor Vehicle Safty.

Affected units Mo#'s
NDR1062, RM2652, RM2662, RM2663, RM2852, RM2862, RM3662, RM3663,& RM3862.

Ser #'s beginning with
320xxxxx thru 352xxxxx
401xxxxx thru 452xxxxx
501xxxxx thru 552xxxxx
601xxxxx thru 639xxxxx

Customers should make an appointment with their dealer for the correction kit to be repaired.

or call the 1-888-446-5157 for a location near you.

Folks that haven't purchased a fridge should consider the Servelle , also made by Dometic.

Built for the Amish to use in their homes the insulation is far better , so the propane consumption is far lower.

White , not fancy or stylish , like in your mom's kitchen in 1950.

NO electric required AT ALL! , but an RV style door lock would be a good idea.

I got tired of all the problems with the RV type fridges and bought a Crystal Cold from these guys www.warehouseappliance.com they have a variety of different propane refrigerators made by the Amish they work great and you do not need the large battery bank to run a house 110v type or the 12v Sunfrost plus propane is cheap compared to diesel to run the generator to charge the batteries
