We travel on weekends singing gospel music as a family. This weekend we went through a lot of rain and the winshield on our 4106 began leaking. At closer inspection I noticed the rubber around the window is moving up and in a couple places leaking.Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on a fix?

Replace the windshield rubber channel assy. GM part number 2461125 / filler 2335017.
US Coach has new ones in stock along with the filler strip.1-888-262-2434
Any good glass shop can remove and reinstall the windshields with no problem.

My 4104 has the same problem. I used black silicone seal along the top outside of the gasket at the body which helped, but it still leaks.

My gasket does not fit tightly at the body but is very tight at the glass. As posted, we both probably need new gaskets.

I also think that my body has somehow settled down a bit because there are actually gaps between the top of the gasket and the top ot the body opening on one side.

IF you are pulling the windshield it might pay to look closely at its condition first.

GM windshields are cheap , and the transport folks consider windshields as consumables , like wiper blades or bulbs.

When their pitted , scratched or scared its time for a new one.

Esp. if you venture out in DARK AIR!

Thanks for the input. Looking at the rubber condition I can see it needs replacing. My glass is in good shape. I brought this coach from another group that quite singing in 2000. They spent alot of money for it to be converted with the lounge and bunks, new radiater, roof air.
All I've done to this coach in 8 years other than regular maintance is change tires, starter, and batteries, and the fuel line problem I just had. Hope I continue to have this good service.
Thanks Bill Young

Da Book has all the maint requirements , and the service intervals by miles and time.

BE SURE to change the rear axle lubricant as the pumpkin is about $2000 and moving rapidly on to the UNOBTANIUM list.

I would suggest that you replace the windshield rubber and locking strip. When you remove the old rubber, you need to check the frame and make sure it is not rusted to the point of having to replace the frame. If it is not in bad condition, I would also suggest that you use a product called 255 Sika for sealing around the windshield. Normally if there is a good frame, the new rubber should not have any leaking problems. If you are interested in getting a new rubber and lock strip, we at IBP Industries can supply this to you. Feel free to give me a call at 1-800-468-5287. Thanks. Howard
