I speant two hours sitting on a 5 gallon bucket yesterday wondering where to relocate the oil fill so I could start on the floor. At the current time there is a hose running from the valve cover to the rear of the bus. The only problem is that where it goes under the electrical board it droops lower than the end of the hose. This keeps the oil from entering the engine so I have to go through the access panel in the rear floor of the bus. How have others handled the problem? I have to get started on this before I wear the 5 gallon bucket out. |

I don't know much about Eagles, but I've got a good line on buckets when you get around to needing one. Same place I get mine! First rate ones, plastic, galvanized, or stainless. Great prices too. Cheers...JJ |

The oil fill on my Eagle is a tube about six inches behind the dip stick, and directly into the oil pan. It sounds like you are trying to fill thru the valve cover. Check on some other Detroits and see how they are filled. It should be an easy fix. Richard |

I have a MCI MC8 With a 8v71. It fills thru. the left valve couver. There is a pipe connected with a piece of hose. It is factory installed. It is very easy to get to. |
