I have finally acquired an eagle for my bus. I have 2 and neither has the first correct emblem. The 05 has a clear plastic injection molded with the inside painted gold. The 01 has what appears to be a generic truckers emblem. You can check out my web page and see them better. http://home.mchsi.com/~ellenburg/ I have heard that this is what they used when the drivers stole the others. My question is where does the emblem go. I have seen pictures with them just below the windshield, just above the grill and in the middle of the grill. I want to put it where it goes on the front of a '64 Model 01. BTW I still need 3 more if anyone has some laying around. Thanks | ||

The pictures i have show the eagle on the 01 just below the windshield and above the ss line. The 05's is kinda where the license plate would be. | ||

Didn't the model 01 have the eagle emblems on the side of bus as well? Mine did and it was a 65 model. Ace | ||

Wayne, your 1964 01 goes where David states but that is a hard to find Eagle emblem because of the size and the 05 emblem goes where the tow bar cover plate is mounted with the 4 screws between the headlights and both bus buses just had one emblem on the front good luck on finding a original 01 Eagle emblem.PS IBP in Florida has replacement emblems in brass and aluminum fwiw (Message edited by luvrbus on July 15, 2008) |
