Need to know if Crown had any specific dedicated portions of the frame designed to support the weight of the bus when up on jacks or lifts for service/inspection. And... Also now getting around to designing the leveling jack/location on frame. Did Crown have any special place in mind or should I just use common sense. '74 10-wheeler. CROWNS FOREVER!!! |

Henry, since the Crown is basically a truck with a bus shell, you'd do the same as with a truck, put the jacks or lifts under the axles, not on the frame itself. If you are adding a leveling system, I'd "use common sense" like you say, and put the levelers as close to the place where leaf springs tie to the frame as possible. I"m sure Crown never thought of levelers for schoolbusses!! Cheers Gary |

Our 1964 Crown has levelers on all axels. No springs. RCB |

RCB, Factory? Could you post a photo? I'm interested in seeing how this goes together! Cheers Gary |

Yes, factory. I'll email you a copy of the manual page. It is a typical air-ride, with leveling valves, etc. As of just now, I don't have the coach blocked up and have no pics. May not get it off till later this evening. RCB |
