having to place some of the replacement aluminum hangers on the RTSII, the fiberglas hangers just outlived their time. Do I need to cut out the fiberglas piece to mount the metal hanger on the bus steel or just cut out the hanger only and mount the metal hanger over the remaining fiberglas panel. I noticed that if I cut out the fiberglas to mount the metal hanger metal to metal, this takes the mounting postions away from the long horizontal panel just under the windows, so hense, the question.

Hi CD,
I have an 81 RTS and have 2 panels off at this time. One side has the replacement aluminum hangers and looks in good shape. The other has the broken fiberglas hangers. The replacements were mounted right over the existing structure/panel. Can you tell me where you got the replacement aluminum hangers? I need a couple.

I had to find some old paperwork to come up with the numbers
I bought the hangers from Universal Coach.
The Hanger number is 2072093, I can't remember if it is a right side or left side hanger, I dont have the other number, but I find that you will be making new holes anyway, only a couple align you.
Their Number is 1 800 323-1238, or at least it was when I talked to them last.
The hanger costs (at the time I bought them) about $17.06 each.

Have you drawn up your layout yet??
The layout has been the most difficult part of the entire conversion for me. Ihave had about 4 layouts that "THIS IS THE ONE", and then I find something I want to change, and it starts all over again. Good luck to you, let me know if you care to email. cd |
