Decided to start a new thread because the old threads were overlapping, and BW and Joe (Joemc7ab) asked for some pics… as did Grant (something about my ‘configuration’) but he's already got his.

To bring you current, BW is looking for engine shutdown mechanisms and Joe wonders if my DD is a 6V-71 (it's not).

But don't miss those other threads... you’ll find a wealth of information there.

My newly rebuilt Harper DD 8V-71... it flat THUNDERS (when it starts).

Okay, was planning to upload some more photos but the server... or my computer (or something) went beddy-bye.

Think I will too. Adios, amigos.

Are you looking for the shutdown air cylinders, or the
emergency stop flapper assembly?

Nellie, ou're getting closer on the pics, but they need to show up bigger. Frankly posting on forums is so limiting the easiest is to use a free photo host and just post the link. like this.

except that was a bad example as the pics aren't very large. But that's the basic idea.

Hi Patrick -

Yeah, you're so right... pretty frustrating trying to post pics. Some of these guys are really good at it, but I haven't found the secret. I did a good one for my 'A/C Tensioner' question but can't remember how I did it. I'll check out that link you sent. Thanks.

Meantime... Ian, where are you? Help!

Nellie Wilson
