I have a 73 MCI 5b challenger and would like to carry some type of portable tire inflator. Does anyone have a recommendation or suggestion on a quality reasonably priced inflator/compressor?

Thanks.

I just put a quick connect fitting after the dump valve on my wet tank and I use bus air

As long as you have bus air you might as well use it, you can carry along a small portable inflatable tank to be portable.>>>Dan 4106-1261

And while you're at it, get a locking tire chuck. Holding the chuck for 20 minutes while you inflate a tire can be maddening

What and where is the wet tank and dump value?

The wet tank is the first tank after the air compressor and it usually has a valve on it to dump out water that accumulates in the tank. Don't know about your type of coach on my Flx the tank is on the drivers side rear just behind the rear tire

Roger on my 1973 MC7 there is a tank below the drivers floor, you get access to it by a door in front of the drivers front wheel. open the door and it is above the opening. this is where I have a air line hooked up to inflate tires or run air tools. Dave L

Take Dave's advice, as the air you get out of the aux tank will be much cleaner.

Tim...all my air tanks have "dumps" on them....are you sure yours do not? Might want to check if you haven't. And if they don't work right....they're cheap.

FWIW :-)

Thanx for the "heads up"!!! :-)

RC yes they do but I only have two tanks in tandem in the rear. The only thing on my Flx that is air other than the brakes are the wipers and horn

Kevin, You'll find that ball foot chuck difficult to use on the inside duals.
