There has been some brief discussion on this board about specific window framing treatment, but allow me to probe further.

We have parallelogram sliders (I elected to retain the original GREAT windows, have rebuilt them) and , of course, they have kinda strong radius corners. They are held in place by an inner trim "ring" with bunches of screws inserted into a channel groove in the main frame of the window.

Problem is, of course, to hit the groove with each screw, the framing must be held short of the groove, thus leaving a 3/4 inch (+-) width between the window frame and the framing (with strong curve corners).

Anyone out there who has an idea of ways this might be handled? (aesthetics are the important thing) Pictures would be welcome! :)
Thanx,
RCB

It sounds like all you would have to do is make some spacers that would hold the frame away the proper distance. It should be the same for all the windows? If so would only have to make one set and you would be in business.
Then again maybe I don't understand the situation?

You might take a look of my post under; "Potpourri of Fiberglass Questions" This cotten flock material can be placed anywhere you want a hard place to drill and screw etc.
Then again maybe I don't understand the situation either?
