Does anyone have plans or better yet pictures for an ice drawer? I know they are putting them in the new entertainer coaches a long with friges; I'm told they are basically an insulated drawer with a hose coming out the bottom to drain the melted ice. Any help on this would be much appreciated! |

Now there's a neat idea for Jack's drawer behind the front bumper! http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=11506.0 you could take a plastic shower floor, put some sides on it, calk it and add ice! I hope it isn't a major fau pax to post that link. My apologies in advance. |

I drove an entertainer coach for 6 days that had a small ice drawer in the front. It would hold about 12 cans of liquid refreshment. I was surprised how long the ice lasted. No photos, but is was plastic lined with foam insulation. I did not look at it real close, but I think the inside of the cabinet around the drawer also had foam insulation. Jack |

If you build such a box, be sure to put a trap in the drain line. It will keep outside air and bugs out. |

We took advantage of a deep space that was used as a wine bottle storage. Since we like our beverages ice cold we used to fill a small ice chest with our beverages, this was really convenient for traveling as well. When we were doing some updates to the inside I asked the wife what she wanted to do with this space and she came up with the idea of putting the ice chest in that space. Our solution for dranage was putting a hole in the bottom of the ice chest and attaching 1/2 plastic drain hose, we attached it to the cooler using JB Weld. We ran the drain hose through the bay with a manual shut off valve. The wife then asked me to find a way to control the valve from inside the coach. So I changed the manual valve to a 12v fuel pump with a rocker switch inside the coach and she can now control the level of water she wants. |

Bob, That's one heck of a good idea. I was wondering what to do the cooler we have, now I know, just have to find a suitable spot for it! ~Paul~ |

Insulation : the more the merrier. At the Georgia Ag Fair a fellow selling spray insulation had a shed with 4" of foam sprayed on all sides. He had a trough of ice cubes that stayed solid and kept the shed cool all day in the 90 degree heat. |

Drink? The bus should stay in the lane long enough for you to get up and run to the refrig to get a drink... JUST KIDDING! I guess as long as my wife is with me, I have no need for an insulated driver stash. I use an insulated cup for my ice water and it usually lasts hours. Good Luck Nick- |
