It looks like I might be able to acquire a 35' RTS in an auction pretty soon. There's problems with the engine and it might necessitate an engine change. It has a 6V71 right now. I want to repower it to a 6V92TA. I was wondering if anyone could share similar experiences. I'm afraid other "things" will have to be upgraded at the same time but am unsure to what extent that might be. |

The 6V71 will have the 1.04 underdrive transmission. It is not worth buying if you plan on repowering-- RTS's with 6V92TA's come up for auction all the time-- you just have to look and be ready to travel. |

That's a new one for me, but I take your word for it. All 730's I worked with had on overdrive final. I do have 4 1989 35' remans. with 6V92' for sale, if anyone is looking. |
