Hello all , Are there any existing bus gathering here in the southwest besides Quartzite AZ? I planned on taking the MC7 and tin tent camp at Quartzite but the weather in N.Jackson Ohio did not agree. So I just got the coach home this week and want to meet n greet some other 'nuts. Thanks ,Glenn

it's not really something official, but I see a lot of buses at the free dry camping area in the Avi Casino, 20 miles south of Laughlin, NV.

often I see old timers outside talking to each other on patio furniture they bring. Sometimes I even see windmills out, and I see stuff from small vans to monstrously big buses.

I would love to attend my first bus gathering somewhere in the southwest.

dan: nope, they have signs up that says no overnight parking of RVs, although it's not enforced.

Cal-Nev-Ari has a great rib dinner special on Saturday by the way :-)

I am talking about 20 miles SOUTH of Laughlin, not north on Needles Highway.

Glenn, Start one, post it on the boards and they will come. It might be slow at first, but it will grow given time. I started one here in Texas in 07, 13 the first year, 15 the second and have had lots of interest for this years event. Don't worry if you have a small turnout, it only takes two to have a rally! Mention bus gathering, food and drink and you might suprpised on how many will show! :-)

Jack Conrad's Rally is a lot of inspiration, look at how many show up at his?

Good Luck and Do It!

That's right Clifford, you don't need to go anywhere to have a bus rally! It's ongoing and forever! LOL

Glen...as a former Motel owner, a regular traveler, and long time observer of "things"....September..after the 15th is most probably best for "most" folks. Too much going on (lots of conflicts)and traffic... Good grief...is my Maturity showing? :-) :-) :-(

Albeit, not those with "kids" in school...

Glenn,
One thing we found was that there is no location or dates that are right for everyone, Don't try! Just pick a location and dates that work for you and some will come. If everyone has a good time, more will come to the next one, and so on.
For our Bussin' rallies, we stay with the same dates every year (December 29-January 1, with early arrivals OK beginning on December 26). This way if someone wants to plan ahead, they know when the rally will be held. Jack

Glenn,

Were outside Eugene OR at this time and was planning on leaving here the 1st of Aug to head to the Grand Canyon area. It probably take much arm twisting to leave a couple of days earlier.

Any more information on where you folks plan on setting up.
