I am about to redo the ceiling in my 01 Eagle. It was vinyl, had a few leaks, it was starting to come loose and want something different. I am leaning toward imitation stamped ceiling panels and wanted to hear other ideas before I make the investment. I am going to have to cover from the bottom of the radius on both sides. Thanks for your input. |

Wayne I used the panels that are used in stick and staple units. They are paterned vynal on the face and waxed cardboard on the reverse. They are about 1/4" thick and come in 4'x8' sheets and will contour to the curved ceiling. You have to make up a seam hiding joint every 4' to make them look good. After 24 years they are still like new. A damp cloth once a year and they clean up. You will have to remove the interior cabinets to make the job easier to do or you are in for a lot of cutting. I have 2.25" of sprayed foam in both the roof and side walls-so further noise suppression was not an issue. My ceiling is 1/8" plywood covering that is painted semi-gloss white with 2" oak strips running lengthwise to hold it up. Simple, easily cleanable, can be removed if access is necessary, and easy on the eyes. Good Luck, TomC |

We used Fibre Decor from Fibre Wall of Canada, we've had a minor problem with cracking where we used it a bit thicker than we should have, but its easy to fix. Its been up for two years and has some sound deadening and insulating qualities. Over all we are happy with it |

David, is "Fibre Decor" a 'paint-on' product? |

Fibre Decor is a papier mache type product it is mostly textile fibers with the adhesive mixed with it. Fibre Wall of Canada has a web site. They ship from I think Philadelphia to the U.S. You mix it with water per directions and take a small amount and place it on the surface you are going to cover and roll it out. They provide a roller cover with your first order. order. |

Fact is a friend from Vancouver area put me on to it. Got one bag, tried it and was sold. We used it front to back or rather back to front in our '04 and are happy as if we had good sense. ;) |
