My Maintenance Manual states to use 10W motor oil in hydraulic system. Is that correct? The fluid that leaked out is red in color.

Usally, either 10w or Dexron III is used. If the fluid is red, it's Dexron. Nothing wrong with topping it off with that.

Not sure if you have power assist or intergal power steering with your Ross. My Crown has the Ross power assist using a Victors VT-42 power steering pump.

I use just plain old type "A" automotive automatic transmission fluid. I do believe it also is red in color. I do NOT use type "F". Good luck.
