I know a silly questions but on my 1979 rts transit my motor sits sideways meaning a rt or lt motor not sure but is my power steering pump and compressor different then the other motors that mount stright on? Thanks for the advice

No such thing as a silly question, just some silly answers!

A serious answer though, is that you have a left hand engine. The compressor doesn't care which way its turned, and according to a GM owner, "only the crank turns the opposite diection."

George is right an idler gear is switched to the right side for a right hand engine. the valve train always turns in the same direction.

What about the water pump and fuel pump? Seem to recall mention of needing the correct rotation pumps. T/F.
