Now that we all know how OLD we are I think it would be interesting to know WHERE we are located. I visit this site every day and I can't say enough about all the help and information that is available here.

However, sometimes when I read someone mentioning the weather etc. it would be nice to visualize just what part of the continent they are speaking about.

I'm 55, from Aldergrove, (southwest corner of British Columbia), Canada, approx. 35 miles east of Vancouver.

We're converting an MC-9 (currently on hold while finishing building a bus shop).

Iv,

I thought that there had already been a gathering of locations awhile back.

Anyway, here's mine.....

Located just outside of Kingman, Arizona.

Looking for a Kenworth to convert into a motorhome. Keep finding ones that are nearly what I want, but there is always one major thing wrong such as the rear end ratio is too high, 4.11's don't cut it, or the wheelbase is too short. I must be the truck salesman's worst nightmare as I know exactly what I want....... LOL.

We will find one soon no doubt. The wife has modified the 40ft floorplan into a 24ft, she should have been a magician....... LOL.

Peter.

30 acres of clay in the township of Christiana, TN. Probably the site of some civil war action. That's 10 mi. outside of Murfreesboro, TN, which is 35 mi. outside of Nashville, TN. And if that doesn't do it, we live 40 mi. from Mt. Eagle, the truckers favorite hill on I-24 during the winter.

What's the next question? How about a engine/trans survey. My reply is removing a 475 hp 8V-92/747 and installing a 435hp 60 Series/and looking for a World.

Larry & I are from Ohio (born & raised in Ohio), now live in Cape Girardeau,Mo.
Married when we were babies (he always says he raised me to suit himself, he's right) had three girls and three grand children.
His Business's required us to move 28 times in 18 years, then he bought us a big old brick home in Cape, (4800 SF, what a beauty with 3 acre shaded and gardened lot), he traveled until he retired in 95. We long sold the large house when kids grew up, built a new one, but wish we kept the other.
He worked 7 days a week 10-15 hrs a day and it caught up with him. Still has some business he is trying to sale, then he can really say he is retired. I worked 25yrs and retired last Jan.
Love my family & the bus, I'm happy.

- I am converting the TRUE sports car of the bus industry, the GMC RTSII. Those other coaches are more of a "Touring Car" of the bus industry.
- Won't make the Arcadia Fl shin dig this year, but have big hopes if there will be a next.
- With retirement only a couple years away, I am full bloom with anticipation of the wonderful things I will see and the new friends I plan to meet. Hopefully will meet all you fine folks out there in conversion land. cd

We are where our conversion takes us. We're in our 5th year of fulltiming in our 'DAF' aptly named 'daffycanuck'.

Our home for 25+ years was Prince Albert, Saskatchewan Canada.

We are now boondocking on the dessert in California (for a few days canning turkeys!). We communicate with (just installed) 2 way satellite dish...the Motosat Datastorm.
