compressor? Have a 6/92, bought new remanufactured compressor any tricks to know before I get started?

I think we need more Info.
Compressor for AC or Air compressor for airing up the Bus.
Is it the same as the old?

sorry about that Air compressor for airing up bus. and yes same as the old . old one was pushing oil. Got new gov.and guts for air dryer all from REI.

Ted,

Replacement is pretty straight forward. The biggest hassle is getting to it...gotta go through the floor. I'd recommend a good pressure cleaning before you lift the floor.

Be sure to bleed all the pressure off the system before you disconnect the lines.

You may need a gear puller to swap the drive gear from your old compressor to the new one.

Once you have the mating surfaces clean, use Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket on both sides of the gasket before you reinstall.

Bob has it it will be straight forward A helper might be a good idea also. Do not use silicone sealer!
