Does anyone out there have a good procedure for adjusting the valves and injectors for the Cummins NHH220 engine? Thanks in advance.

Yes, follow the directions in the manual. The accessory drive has markings on it that will be A, B, and C, or marked 1-6, 2-5, 3-4. Basically you turn the engine over to each mark, and make the adjustments as the book outlines. You will need a inch pound torque wrench to adjust the injectors.

I don't yet have a manual. Do you have the clearance and torque specs? Also, the big cam motors have you adjusting the injectors on a different cylinder bank than the valves per revolution of the motor. Are you saying to adjust valves and injector on the same cylinder at the same time?

I don't have a book on the 220's, and its been so long since I did one I don't remember if you adjust both the injectors and valves at the same time on the same clyinder. Don't you know any truck shops in your area that have been around for a long time? they would be the ones to ask.

Found the problem and fixed appropriately! After several valve and injector adjustments (with no improvement) we discovered that the injector hold down bolts had been overtightened, putting a bind on the injector plunger. The bolts had to be taken out to remove baffles that blocked the Jake Brake. It now runs very smooth.
