This was known 20+ years ago , and the current FRAUD of "man made" global warming is a simple continuation of the FRAUD by "science"..

If you simply ask where all the REDS of the 50's 60's and 70's went , its simple , there all now "GREENS', not the ordinary folks that want clean air and water , their goal is to end free markets , or what is left of them.

Our current White House occupant with his dozens of CZARS , is an example of the RED style command society , and its current failure.Only 8% of his advisers have ever worked at a real job.

Since the USA is the number one owner of energy resources ,worldwide,
the politics of the ruling class decide weather we pay 99c or $10.00 for a gallon of fuel.

"Drill here, Drill now PAY LESS" is wisdom that will prove very wise should Isreal takes out the Iran nukes before Brazil gets its vast new oil reserves tapped.

Bus related content?

Sean is right. This simply is not the forum for that type of dialogue. There are numerous sites online to express hate for the present administration. Please share your views there. Thank you.

Not a single word of "dialog" in the original post.... a simple link and an FYI.

One has the choice as a reader to pursue or to leave alone. Only those that post following the probable viewing of such information (like all of us on this thread) are "sharing views"....

What one chooses to do with information they read (or not)is up to them; apparently all of us have indeed read it. (not even invited to do so..we apparently just let our curiosity take over). When content of one's "sharing" becomes an issue, seems to me rather trite.

I am not defending "bashing"...if that is what one perceives; however. I do defend one's "right" to dispense usable, morally suitable information. I have seen dissertations written on many things that seemed useless to me....that does not negate a PhD that was eventually handed out for such a piece of diatribe. (my perspective)...

What's the old saying...one man's junk is another man's treasure? Seems that would apply to all manner of "junk"; far as I know, refrigerants are used in "systems" in buses...bus related?...I guess so at the bottom line.

Off the box now. And special thanx to those "in the know"....:-)

It is ok to bash the last administration, but don't bash this one.......who didn't know that. Let's talk about buses since NOBODY'S mind is going to be changed in politics anymore anyway.

I'm glad I have my bus, because if both parties and their respective administrations maintain the status quo, I will probably need it to have any chance of remaining middle class. If the government continues to fall on the side of greed and the prevailing lobby while maintaining the ongoing destruction of traditional American values that has persisted for decades, all of us lemmings are in for a rude awakening.

I side with keeping this board polite and on topic.

Political opinions, along with religious beliefs, are frequently divisive and rarely inclusive.

We are drawn here by our common interest in bus conversions, nothing else.

The other place has allowed all manner of drift into off topic and non contributory posts that are useless to furthering the hobby, and make searching their archives a chore for the novice, and the daily clutter a pain for those of us who like to help.

In a weak moment, I might wonder if they have given up policing posting behaviour over there in an attempt to keep site activity numbers up.

Yes, there are many days now that the new posts are thin here at BNO, but in checking the archives, |@N was right when he said a few years ago that everything has already been written about the old stuff. The catching up of all time to the present is mostly behind us now.

We move at the speed of time now, waiting for the next generation of coaches to fall into busnut hands, and learning the nuances of them. A few new products or methods from time to time appear, and are discussed.

But, at least when we click here, we aren't usually wasting our time.

happy coaching!

Ummmmm.

With regard to Sean:
I have observed much of his writing and bear no issue with it. My posting and my comments have nothing personal (one way or the other) regarding Sean. In fact there is a comment within this thread about Sean’s contributions to this site and I am in full agreement with the author.

With regard to bus related content.
Cap and trade legislation currently sit in the house and senate. Is there anyone on this board who thinks that such laws will not directly impact the cost of diesel? Does anyone understand that taxpayers just paid out for 100 or so of congress to attend the Copenhagen summit? All of this perpetrated on a known fraud. Regardless, the cost to move my 34000 lb machine down the road is skyrocketing. How selfish of me to have such a concern.

The EPA now consider themselves entitled to regulate carbon dioxide. Does anyone on this board think that this will not directly impact their bus hobby? The EPA has been out of control for near 40 years and the initial web article neatly ties all these loose ends together.....and concludes properly that all is just theory. I suppose it is just selfish interest to expect one or two facts supporting the theory. The author also neatly included ozone and CFCs

I am concerned that some might have thought the posting something of a political statement. Not to fear. I think you would have seen the same issues develop regardless whether we have McCain or Obama. My primary concern in posting the link is the connection of such topics and the soaring cost of this hobby. When I pull up to a fuel depot and kiss off six hundred dollars (soon to be one thousand) I hurt a little. If the pain I have described is something you haven’t experienced you are probably driving a Marathon ((no offense to you folks, I would like to own one too!)) and didn’t even notice the missing zero on your financial statement (((no offense to you folks either...I would like to be here with you too but I’m not))). Cap and trade , and pending EPA rulings will by themselves remove another zero.

When discussing esoteric topics like carbon footprints, I don’t much care whether we are discussing your stick built house or your 30/40/50 thousand lb coach. It takes a certain amount of capital to do these things and that is fine. What I object to and what the initial post is about is being forced by law to participate in a known fraud. That this impacts my bus and its operation is just a selfish concern.

In contemplating these issues I thought to include another web link from the same site but different author concerning the possibility of compressed natural gas for transportation (again, my selfish desire to push my bus down the road at a reasonable cost) and the considerable resistance to it but the article did have a very political slant to it (quite likely correctly too) but I am now afraid to post the link. I am not particularly advocating anything here but anything that might someday cut my fueling costs by fifty percent I would like to see some discussion on it. Oh, for the resourceful, the authors name is Ed Lasky.

As a notde of interest,CFC's were invented and developed by Charles Kettering and his assistant
Thomas Midgley working together at Kettering's Delco Lab. The first patent was issued to Frigidaire, US # 1,886,339 for the formula for CFCs December 31, 1928. R 134 was actually developped in 1929.

Thank you, Dallas, for helping the post count over here! :-)

When posting, one usually knows the reception that the post will generate in other readers.

I support a kinder, gentler corner of the busnut online experience. I find enough examples of the edgier side of the human condition elsewhere.

Are not examples of excellence in creativity a complimentary, if not related, theme to the finer arts of being a bus converter?

Hmmmm, global warming, cap and trade, these may be manifestations intended to enrich others at my expense.
Or, perhaps it is a new way for me to make some money to fuel my coach?

If you see it coming, why be victimized? Grab a surf board and take a ride!

Whether getting politically active, or participating in political commentary, which are two very different things...
I'm pretty sure that BNO isn't an effective vehicle for either.

Maybe there's something good about boosting post counts?

happy coaching!

I've been dying to do this for 13 years...

This message serves no purpose whatsoever, except to boost the post count.

Anyone else want to do this? This is the thread to do it on. Apparently. Or not. It's hard to tell, isn't it?

It is so liberating!
