I have found many old threads on this topic but none recent. I am looking for an insurance company that specializes in custom converted coaches. I am at the point that I have so much invested dont want a miss hap to leave me without. Any pros or cons on what insurance companies would be good and ones to stay clear of. |

state farm Anything you get get agreed value insurance, you set the value and pay the premium based on the value agreed on not what they think it is worth when it is a pile of ash or rubble |

I also found it very easy to deal with Progressive although I got my towing assistance from CoachNet. John |

Here: Best Insurance Insuring New Hampshire and Vermont since 1928. "providing insurance sales and service throughout New Hampshire and Vermont." You'll have to ask if they can provide insurance of any kind, in your state, if you don't live in NH. (Message edited by john_mc9 on February 14, 2010) |

Hmmm.. Union Mutual Policy Resources Not all companies can provide insurance out of their area, and even those that do, are often limited to what coverage they can provide. |

Not all companies can provide insurance out of their area, and even those that do, are often limited to what coverage they can provide. Gee , sounds like "health insurance" 1700 companies in the USA , some states only allow one "provider" , and folks wonder why a monopoly provided policy is expensive. FF |

I'd stop calling it a "custom converted coach" This is not the venue for showing off your pride of achievement. The concepts of "home-built" "do-it-yourself" "custom" "bus" "coach" do not bring smiles to the face of an insurer. Just quote the year/make/model of your motorhome, and include the specifics of the more expensive accessories that are options on an RV, inverter/generator etc. Best be careful in your word choices. You may quickly associate yourself with the uninsurable... happy coaching! buswarrior |
