Since it's been so cold, I haven't been able to do much lately except replace the front tires. But it was 50 degrees yesterday! Latest progress:

Front school lights removed, patch panels cut, waiting on my friend (a body man) to MIG them in.
Rear school lights rewired (as brake & turn signal lights) wired for standard 1156 bulbs in standard Ford sockets (I'm going for "can get replacement parts anywhere" as much as I can on this conversion). Hitting the junkyard (the guy knows me well by now, since I've essentially stripped one of his buses :) ) for lenses off another Thomas-bodied bus this week if the weather holds.
Gas gauge rewired & working with the new tank.
Same friend will be starting the underbody storage compartments today.
Spent 2 hours messing around with the holding tanks, trying to figure EXACTLY how I want to mount them.

Any suggestions as to where I should put the spare tire? It's an 11R22.5 on a steel rim, so it's pretty heavy.

Oh, yeah: WINTER SUCKS! I want spring!

Hi Johnny,
Spring is just around the corner. I'm afraid since I moved to FL, I haven't been able to enjoy the seasonal changes as much. I'm just now putting up a 30 X 64 steel building for my MC8. The plan was to do this in Jan but the permit didn't pass the 1st two times. It's much warmer, 85-ish, than it would have been in Jan. So, I can appreciate the invasion of seasonal climate into our well laid plans.
