This problem is probably very well my inability to manipulate this friggin computer.

I have registered over there and I always use only 1 of a very few user names and passwords when joining these forums.

That site currently has me locked out in some loop it tells me the user does not exzist and when I make a new one it tells me someone is already regestered under that e-mail address.

I am not going to create an additional e-mail address just to get into the dissusions and I can not find any contact e-mail info to help get it straight.

What a pain.

Joe
you probably tried but did you try the "I forgot my password"? with that same e-mail ad and see if they send it to you

I signed up as Chrome dome on 3 boards because of my friends calling me that for funny and always have because of my mostly bald shiny head and now also the stainless steel on or bus. Now I find that there is another Chrome Dome and has been for a long time on other boards. But when I try to change my user name they either won't do it or tell me I will have to go through the long sign up and wait process again. So I just don't do it. And for that I say sorry to the other guy and will someday fix it.

I know your pain,
I used to lament about the loss of a finger tip
but the others in the Amputee Ward didn't seem to appreciate my disability.
When I lost my right eye them uppity Blind people ignored me as well.
When the explosion took the hearing in my right ear I got zilch from the Deaf.
So I took up writing humor........

are you laughing yet?
See what I mean...!

Maybe what we need is a URL where a person can purchase sympathy & understanding with Pay-Pal.

In the mean time.....
you can catch my stand-up comedy act twice a day, 7 days a week.
The early show starts 5 minutes before I attempt to get out of bed in the morning &
the late show begins as I attempt to remove my shoes at the end of the day,
there is always plenty of seating available, no tipping & bring a good book with you!

Give Mike a shout, he'll fix you right up.

msullivan@busconversions.com

I like having both bus boards, what you can't find on one, you can find on the other.

Thanks to Ian and the BCM Gang!

You win, I should have seen it coming....
it's hell to be left standing in the middle of the road
buck-necked without a snappy comeback....
maybe I belong on the MAC Board where nothing is something....eh?

"Bring some extra clothes"

I heard my OEM say that once.
So I went and stood at the window with the sign over it that said
CLOSED.
I was first in line and stood there forever waiting.....
Now, suddenly I get it!
DANG!
It seems I'm always either
a lifetime late
or
a fortune short.

Thanks for the clue!
Better late than never eh?

I wonder how it will be received on my resume,
having gained it from a" Gomer"?
That & being a former "Impregnation Specialist" for a government contractor.
Now if I can just find some of that "Street Cred" everyone's talking about...anyone know where I can get a coupon?

If you have something on your mind you should just spit it out.

I have no clue where you are coming from and I would venture a guess I am not alone.

Gomer....I've heard that before, who'd he tell you that?

Debby, Joe & LUVRBUS...
I'm with you, my ol'man used to say,
"BOY! One of these days, YOU are going to get it & get it good!"
To this day I still "haven't gotten it" likely never will, if I was any slower this wouldn't be posting until Thursday, so I'll 3rd the motion

RC...quoting Charles Shultz was good BUT turning Charlie Brown's face yellow was funnier.

We all should consider the wise words of Julius Marx....

"Any group whose standards are so low
that they would accept me,
doesn't deserve my good company."

maybe I just need to use a lot more of these in my posts
;)

Woody, like all famous comedians & comediennes is a shameless thief. When the funny people of one generation pass, the new generation of yucksters personalize an old gem & pass it off as theirs.
I have a book published in 1875 called THE Encyclopedia of Comedy by J. Melville Janson & is 501 pages in length.
90% of every funny line, joke or snide comment we've ever heard or read is contained between the covers in the contemporary version. Marx, Allen, Seinfeld, Fields & Dangerfield even Uncle Milty all used it.
Example...whom do you suppose this quote is attributable to,
"When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading."
Henny Youngman, & he stole it from Fields who stole it from a Minstrel Show.
Humor shares aspects with Buses,
only the old ones are worth mentioning,
a refurbished one always has more milage left in it...
there's no bus like an old one.

W.C. had an R/V on the movie set,
he said it was all about economy,
the time saved going home was spent drinking
and it solved the nasty business of driving drunk.
You can hear Ron White (Tater Salad) do a variation of it on tour today.

When I hear cerebral pontifications like that they are usually comming from double talking polititions.

No need to read or listen past the first few words and I usually don't.

Thank you those who gave me info that will help.

I'm not a big Beck or Olbermann fan either!
Which is why I prefer & refer to the classics,
that way everyone has at least 50 years to have heard them.
Wasn't it great to see Senator Akin back?
