I have bitten by the bus bug, and I have finally narrowed my choice of bus down to a Prevost H model. I am currently looking at getting one of two buses, either a Prevost H3-40 with a strong 8V92 for $45k, or a Prevost H3-41 with a series 60 for $95k. While I know that the series 60 is a better engine, better mileage, better power, fewer leaks, and it would be very nice to have, its still an awful lot extra to pay for it. I am not bulding it to sell, it would still be irritating to pay that much and find in several years that the value had dropped in half. I believe the H3-40 is below market.

I am soliciting opinions as to some of the pros and cons. The H3-41 comes with a Great 15 year loan at a house like interest rate. Thanks for your input.

The Series 60 is tempting, but for an extra $50000? If you can afford it, hell... H3-41's are nice =D

Did you notice any kind of a line of "buyers" in front of or behind you? Was their service people driving around trying to find a spot to park the bus they just serviced? Was the lot PACKED! Why am I glad I'm not trying to cover the "floor plan" with the bank.

Sorry I've been in buisness to long and I notice things That aren't on the lot, like?
no 45' wheelchair lifts?
no 45' high floor coaches being preped?(ie new)
no 45' basic coaches?
Why are their so many high floor coaches on the market?
Why is their only one of you and so many of those perfect H3's out there?
Why are the $$$$$ for a Prevost XL pro conversion 91 to 94 stop at $130k on eBay?
What do you call a market that is way past flooded?
We are getting to the point were $50k should buy a nice modern (ser 60) 40-41 ft. high floor coach! You should be feeling like Jese James,h*ll of a time to be in the market!!!!

I sort of agree w/ Mike, You're in the market almost alone and u need to leverage it. there is still lots of room for them to move on the H-3 41 (my personal choice of the two). Lo-Ball it and see how quick u get there attention. If u recall the guy u met buying the A3, they came down 45% from asking at MCI (formerly Hausman) and when we brought the bus home we have concluded that it probably does not need engine re-build, just some TLC that the bankrupt charter company never bothered with, like changing the air filter that was so plugged it pulled the vacuum guage into red at idle.
