Okay... I realize that this is a transit bus - but what is it? I see one that is for sale, made by GM of Canada. Are there any negative aspects about a bus made in Canada? (Parts, repairs, etc) The storage problem, city gears, etc is not an issue with me. - Just looking for a weekend type use for my family and me. By the way, I think it was made in'82 or '83. Nice and big! w/ a 6v92, auto trans. Thankyou for your input! Mark (still looking for a bus) in Oregon |

It's what's called a GMC Classic, and it is basically a fishbowl with some minor changes and restyled to look more contemporary for the eighties. Built by GM Canada and mostly sold there, but a few US transit companies bought them. Roof raises and slides would be out, but for a weekender, it should be alright. Oh, MCI and NovaBus made them as well, so parts shouldn't be a problem. |

Be sure and check with Customs and the EPA BEFORE you purchase, since you may not be able to import it. I believe the website is uscustoms.gov. They also have a brochure, if you call their office. Try the 'grey" pages for U.S. offices. ...JJ |
