This topic came up on this bbs under the message thread, "BNO - no longer a portal for eBay " There were a number of arguements which both supported the subject or refuted the subject. As a result of the vigorous activity on the subject thread, I have created a bulletin board separate and apart from this one, where proponents and detracters can stay separate and still not have to leave this web site. The new bulletin board, while looking similar to this one and created from the same licenced software as this bbs, operates differently than this one and new rules will have to be implemented, some of which I have in draft form on that bbs. To that end, I would like a few volunteers who participated in the original thread (as listed below) to take a look at the new bbs in its "secret" location before I go "live" with it. I will e-mail the URL to the responders and will ask that they forward their comments both pro and con. Thank you for your continued participation on the various interactive areas on BNO. Ian, I would be happy to "look over" and comment to you privately. As a frequent user of Ebay, I visit there almost daily, I am most interested in what others may find there that I may have missed. I do however also visit BNO almost daily for information on using what I find, or problems I may encounter. My objection to so many postings on BNO for eBay items is just that it takes more time to go through the "meat" here. Also, many people that are trying to sell their items on eBay spam all the BBS's they can and thus add to time it takes to check all boards. Ian, As one the "Chosen Few", I would be pleased to ssist you in what ever you require. I am a little confused by John's comments of the quantity of Ebay items on this or other BBs that I frequent. I have rarely seen any apart from the few on this BB which sparked this whole discussion. We must be visiting different BBs, is all I can think....... LOL. As I suggested before, I would have thought another section similar to the "Flea Market" with an automatic message delete of say 10 days would work fine. Peter. | ||

Peter, I guess I am an information junkie, I have 84 yahoo groups, many different subjects, 5 busnuts BBS's, as well as several private research groups mail that I go through daily... will I ever get time to fire-up the "Jimmy" and go fishin' ? My day is not typical I hope for many on this BNO board, 15-16 hrs a day! And I thought re-tirement ment watching the grand-kids. | ||
