I made drawings for the "18" offset hitch I use and have posted them if anyone is interested. The welding process used was MIG using E70S-6 wire. If anyone would like a set of drawings let me know and you can pay the postage I will send them.

Looks like a winner!
I am using a Jones Offset hitch at 16" with my VW Thing, would like about 2" more... think I will build a 2" like yours
