Tom, I think that if you take a little torch and heat it[hub] and apply PB on it and keep doing it, it will probably let loose. It may take several times and let it set for awhile. I sprayed PB on it, heated it to where it would boil and then spray some more on it and try to tap it with a hammer not to break it but get its attention and keep trying it.

I have a friend that may want to part with the ones from our 4107. Don't know if they will work for your 4106 or not.

Be careful that you don't mushroom the end of the shaft even a little bit or you'll never get it off intact. If this did happen, patiently dress end with a file and compare to rest of shaft with calipers or micrometer, If then you can attach vice grips between end of cage and motor on shaft to act as a heat sink, you can use an acetylene torch to heat cage hub till it comes off. Make sure there isn't a second allen screw behind the regular one. I've seen them doubled up sometimes. Also look for another screw in another location on other side opposite or 90 degrees away.

if a file won't fit, use a Dremel tool. If you don't have one, now is a great excuse to get one.

Messing about in Boats and Buses , with an occasional Honey Do as a "Bonus Job" , my favorite toy is the mini router the wall board guys use to cut electric box holes .

Fitted with a 1/4 shank rotary cutting bit of different diameters or taper , it REALLY removes material.

Fast and cheap to buy & keep,

MY WAY,

FF
