As it has been for most of the last week, it's POURING here. I was going to be doing storage bays today...but something tells me welding in a monsoon isn't too bright. This is depressing. (Sorry--had to vent.) |

At least the floor is getting washed! Ours should be clean as a whistle...been sitting outside all winter. No windows, no sides, no shed. We have the caps sitting in a little tool shed and my dad does things like tosses tires on top of the caps (so far no damage that we can see). Telling him we have a $1000+ worth of caps doesn't mean a thing to him. We are thinking of getting the roof raised asap and the caps on then bring it (as is) the 200 m home. Lorna |

Well, if it means anything to ya, I got heaps of work done this holiday weekend: Kitchen drawers installed, new bathroom faucet, kitchen counter & sink, dinette put back (after being removed to build wall and window in that section), desk drawer installed, rerouted water supply lines inside (to discourage freezing), new circuit run for kitchen electrical - and cleaned out months' worth of saw dust and building debris . . . : ^ ) Scott |

Well, the long weekend was spent working on the bus here too. We also got a lot of rain but I did mostly inside work. We got 3 new cabinets, one for the microwave/pantry and 2 for the bedroom. The two in the bedroom had to be stained, assembled and poly-ed. The cabinet for the microwave was ordered too narrow. Most microwaves are about 19" wide. The new cabinet was 22" wide, OUTSIDE. The inside was only 17.5". We looked and looked and finally found a little microwave by Sharp called a halfpint. It is about 14.5 X 14.5 X 14.5. It's really cute looking. You can see a picture of one by searching for 120DB on the net or auctions. I screwed up thru the shelf and into some screw holes in the oven, securing it to the shelf. Next, is to get the new A/C in the front changed out. We went with a 15,000 BTU Carrier. It's taller than the one we have but hopefully cooler and quieter. The old one developed a bad vibration, especially at high speed. Vaca starts 6/26 by driving from FL to ME. Craig S |

You're depressing me. Go away. But the weather will be nice this weekend. Good--now to get my friend off his (use your imagination) and get my bays built. One advantage of having to build your own bays: you can size them EXACTLY the way you want them. I discovered that, with only minor tweaking of the plans, I can put a 4-drawer tool box in one of the bays. Wiring started...a V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W process, as I'm sure most of you know. |
