OK, here is you big chance to squeal to us all about your favorite secret camping place somewheres in the Western USA/Canada where you can stay reasonably cool. (70-85 F)

I for one am getting quite tired of 90-90 days. Anyplace else anywhere else where we do not have to sweat half to death? :) :) :) Henry of CJ

Just got back from Durango CO. 48 at night and 78 during the day.

I was grumpy all the way back to South Texas after driving away from there. I'm still depressed.

Henry,

Come to sunny Kingman Arizona. It's too hot and dry to let you sweat much..... LOL.

Just keep away from the river communities as the humidity is higher there along with the flies and other airbourne bugs.

Peter.

Well, I just got back from visting some friends of mine in Jackson Hole, WY - mid-upper 70's all weekend, lower 40's at nite. . .

Grand Teton Nat'l Park's gorgeous this time of year, but it CAN snow on the 4th of July!!

Closer to home, Henry, just down the road a bit from you, try Patrick's Point State Campground, just north of Trinidad (Eureka), CA. Last time I was there, saw an MC-5A and a 4104 nestled in among the trees. . .

Here's an interesting link to CA campgrounds:

http://www.californiacampgrounds.org/campgrounds.htm

Of course, you could come down here to Fresno and sweat just as much as going to Peter's, plus, as an added bonus, you'd save a few bucks on your diesel bill!!

LOL!

...and San Diego is the place to be all the time. The problem is, a few million people have figured that out and it ain't like it used to be here!

San Luis Obispo is nice too. Coastal breeze but almost always sunny. Evenings are a bit cooler and you might want a sweatshirt. I miss it.

Awww, shucks JJ, I only misspelled airborne. (or is it misspelt? Actually it can be either, or it is pronounced I-ther?)

Airbourne is the English spelling of the word, and guess what...... I'm English..... LOL.

Don't you Americans say you speak English? Now if you admit you speak American, then it's okay to spell things the way you want to.

And, NO I don't have an accent as I am English, speaking English. You Americans must have the accent if you speak English..... Ha Ha Ha.......

Who knows what my Mom would have said. She would probably think it was time for me to go visit with her...... LOL.

Peter.

The summers are perfect up here at Lake Tahoe. Just be sure and leave at the end of the year before 40 feet of snow buries your bus! Go visit Peter in AZ for the winter.

WE love the coast of Maine , cool and 20 ft tides make for great clamming.

Anywhere in western Canada... Edmonton usually maxes out at 30C (erm, 80F?), usually around 70.. lows of about 45~50F.. Vancouver isn't bad, but a little hot.. Calgary is closer to the mountains, with much the same weather as Edmonton...

Best part, our diesel is cheaper! Current prices are 52.0 cents a litre, about 1.44 a gallon!

Through the Summer and Fall, there's no place we'd rather be than home, on the western slopes of the Cascades, SE of Centralia, WA. We may get a very few days of 90 degree temps but the humidity is low and it cools quickly as soon as the sun gets low. Almost no rain from mid June through Sept. A/C not needed. Winters are very mild but cloudy and wet. That's when we fire up the bus and head for AZ or other sunny places for a few of the winter months.
