Does anyone have a nominal weight of a 4107? Just looking for a ballpark number... as delivered, stripped, or whatever configuration one may have?

My 4106 was right at 20,000lbs stripped of seats , some fuel with me in the drivers seat.

The air cond. compressor, evaporator and center heater ,and big air cond DC motors was still aboard.

Perhaps 600 lbs for all that stuff.

The 07 will be somewhat heavier .

Jim, I had my 4107 weighed for Texas registration. The coach was already converted (we're updating the conversion). Made sure water/waste tanks were empty, emptied stuff out of the bays. I don't remember how low the fuel was. Everyone off the bus. Basically, made the bus as light as I could, without stripping anything.

The weight came in at around 25,700. Here, they round up and add, so I think our registerd weight is 25,800. That keeps us under 26,000, the magic number for CDL (I have a CDL, so it's no big deal, but want to give my wife an opportunity to learn.)

Jim -

Why don't you run your coach across a set of truck scales and find out?

Will also give you an idea of where to set your tire pressures, too!

Thanks all for the info, I really appreciate the input. RJ, I do plan to do that when a convenient opportunity presents itself, but we've been full timing in the same place in Colorado for over a year and getting ready to move (at all) would take a considerable effort. With winter coming, a good chance may not present itself until spring.

I didn't know motorhomes were subject to weight laws. Here in California, the only requirement is that it is a 3 axle house car up to 40ft long. Over 40ft, then you have to have a Class B non commercial license to drive it. And you're allowed to pull up to a 10,000lb trailer behind too! Good Luck, TomC

Thanks again all. Our 4107 is also registered in Florida, no issues there. The question arose as I was looking at the title the other day and noticed that the weight is recorded as 20000, I believe because that is what was on the previous title when I registered the bus. I'm just trying to gauge how close I may be to the 26001 lbs that in Florida triggers the CDL class B requirement. I know the only way to find out for sure is a scale.

IF you ever get stopped you will be overweight , and perhaps will need to get the Title changed to move again.

WE register at 32,000 in FL as a Motor Home , the weight matches the tire limits.NO CDL,

I think Texas has a rule on gross weight, Pa. and SD do not require CDL. SD uses Empty weight.

FF- Interesting. I could be wrong, (happened before) but my recent research with FL DMV seemed to indicate that a regular Class E license is good for a private vehicle up to 26001 lbs. Anything over that weight requires a cdl. Do you have different information?
