Well guys I got the bad news today. Shawn from ASE Supply in Oregon called me and said the new Long AC board is what you need but will check further and let you know, if this is it it should be 320.22. He called back in an hour and told me that it isn't worth fixing the DC board is bad too. Said he could sell me a new one with all the wires from mine moved over same out output 2500 for about 1,200.00. Man when it rains it pours. I told him I would have to wait on that. I've see them a little cheaper than that, or is that a descent price for that size? He also wanted to know why the PO had used such long battery cables 10 feet #6. I told him I would be shortening the new one to 5 feet. Dave (Message edited by chrome_dome on October 15, 2010) |

Thanks Joe; But after all this I think we will just buy a new one. The system for the Heart freedom 20 would have been a 12V, or am I wrong. Wouldn't a 24V change things? Dave |

Dave, I see my name up in the post title but I am not sure what the question is... I do think you can get a better deal if you shop around, but having someone available to you who knows your system also has some value, so only you can decide if this guy's offer is worth it. As far as the 12 vs. 24 question, I favor 24 volt inverters on coaches with native 24-volt electrical systems. However, if your house system is already designed for 12 volts, then it's probably a major project to change to 24. -Sean http://OurOdyssey.BlogSpot.com |

Thanks; Sean You and George had helped me earlier with my Inverter problem or tried to but just letting you know what had happened after checking all you guys had me look for and what had happened in the end. And Joe offering the 24 volt inverter but me not knowing enough to be able to say if I could in fact use it. And the advice you just gave me about 12V or 24V is good,That's all.
