I posted the following on one of the other boards yesterday. I realize not everyone replys to all boards.

The singing group that I'm with is running a 4104. About three years ago we had a set of Continental tires put on the steering axle (11R-22.5's). Today I have been checking around for another set. Well, it seems the same tires has had a price increase of about $50.00 each. Now please understand I'm not complaining about that.

Here is the reason for this post. While I was there talking to the guy, I saw two (2) sets of a nice looking tire roll out by me. I inquired about them and I was told the both sets were made in India! Yup, the name of the tire is "Vikrant". Acording to the owner they sell about 6 or 7 sets per week and have had only 2 tires to be returned. The ones I looked at had a "16 ply" rating.

The difference in price between the "Continental" and the "Vikrant" is only $55.00 per tire.

Now here is my question. Has anyone ever heard of this tire?

I'll probably stick with the "Continental" tire, but you never know unless you ask.

Thanks,
