I am looking for a conversion shell.
So far it has been difficult to find busses in canada, except for underpowered transits and overpriced (at least for my budget) coach shells ($25,000+).

Anybody know any good resources to find inexpensive shells in this area, or northwestern states. I have heard that RTS's are going for $1500 US in California. But getting it up here will be a callenge.

Thanks.

I've checked that shell out, and seems a good price.
However it apparently has some rust in the floor and needs a new 1" steel frame welded around interior (It is stripped inside).
I thought that might be a sign to stay away from it since all the suspension points and structural integrity may be in question? Needs all new tires also.

Thanks

Mike,

Why would it be a challenge? Just hop on a plane, fly down and drive it back. I heard it is only converted buses which are a problem to import into Canada. Seated buses go across the border a whole lot easier.

Peter.

RTS buses may not be imported into Canada. The Registrar of Imported Vehicles website http://www.riv.ca,http://www.riv.ca provides a list of buses which may be imported, and also provides additional import and contact information. It is important to view this list before buying a bus for importation.

There are RTS's in Canada, but it is my understanding they were imported prior to the RIV program and also possibly when rules were not as strictly applied.

Just thought you might be interested in this.. You might want to check Ebay. I just say a bus listed with a "Buy it Now" price of $5,000.00

I won't post the link here (I know it's frowned upon) but it was item number 2428068174

I added the Ebay tool bar and it has a place to enter just the item number. Enter the number and click on the search Ebay button and it comes up directly. Really easy as compared to trying to copy and paste the whole url.
Richard

P.S. Sorry I@n, but the Ebay post area of the board has mysteriously disappeared.
