Hi folks, As you have undoubtedly seen or heard on the news, here in Ontario, Canada and parts of the eastern seaboard of the US was hit by a power failure. I don't know if our servers were hit because they are off-premisis and redundant, meaning they are in several different sites all over the Americas. Our power was restored at about noon today and all our web sites were running fine at that time, but our local news promises a few more necessary power outages in order to "balance the grid", whatever that means. Meantime, please pardon the inconvenience if you have temporary trouble connecting to BNO as hydro is properly restored in the massive areas that were affected. Regards, Ian Giffin www.busnut.com |

No need to apologize, Ian-- I hear the the power failure was a result of a bus-nut outside of Columbus, Ohio who plugged in his incorrectly wired 50 amp plug into his house circuit and caused the domino grid failure. Police are still tracking his interstate flight... |

From what the news is saying, they believe the problem started around Cleveland, not Columbus. We try to do proper wireing around here. Jim G. - 1979 RTS-II |

Goes to show that for every bad thing that happens there is some good to come out of it. Our federal gov't which is made up of the wisest of the wise has decided in order to help the power- up after the black-out, that gov't workers should stay home for a week. At least that's one week where they will not be at work screwing -up the rest of Canada. Guy 4905 |
