Just thought I'd poke my head in a little more publicly... I'm still lurking... Just thought I'd give a short update to everything that's gone on.... As you can see, I'm still alive and kicking. Koko and Cricket are doing very well. The rest of the animals that survived to this point are doing well. I've finally gotten the last of my working servers up and running, though two of my main systems didn't make it... One literally exploded after I cleaned it and plugged it in... the other... Well, I dunno... it just failed. *shrugs* I'm still unemployed, so I've been working on buffing up on my Linux and Asterisk knowledge... I may have a lead on something with that, we'll see. Also studying up on the latest Microsoft OS's as well, can't hurt, right? I still have the ol' Flx, but that's going to change soon, unfortunately... I simply need the money to repair my primary vehicle, and to pay for some medical expenses that have, unfortunately, come up that need to be addressed. What else is new on that front, eh? lol That's about it... Not much that's new. Like I said, just wanted to pop in and say hullo since I've been quiet for quite some time... I have been lurking though.  And I want to say again to everyone... Thank you for your kind words, encouragement and generosity when I really needed it the most... One day, I will return the favor when I'm once again able! Which reminds me... Ian... I noticed you still had the donation page up for me... I think it's safe to take it down... I honestly couldn't accept anything from it now. The crisis is long over... I've got the necessities I needed. Thank you again for your help and kind words. Oh! One last thing... I have a 4-cyl gas-fired, air-cooled Onan 13.5Kw generator sitting here that needs a complete rebuild... If ANYONE wants it and is coming through Bossier City... Let me know. You're welcome to it! I'll even help load it! I have no idea what all is wrong with it though... A friend stored it for me while I was out of the state for a couple of years, but he neglected to tarp it. Mouse milk! Sounds fun! Milk is milk, right? So what if it takes 50,000 of them to make a gallon a week. ;) Yeah, I'm still around. I'm still hoping to make one of the bus meets sometime... Just gotta recover psychologically and financially now... Physically, I'm fine... The injuries have healed, all that's left are the scars from the burns. I'm getting there... One day at a time. I'm still holding out hope that I'll get some cashflow before I'm absolutely forced to sell my Flx... I REALLY don't want to do that now that I have her... She may be old and tired, but the ol' girl still has a lot of life left in her, and she's the bus I wanted from the get-go... So, maybe... Just maybe, I can pull a rabbit out of the hat one more time. -Mac | ||

Geez, George, I was hoping to get you to haul it to me so I could put a real engine in front of it! It's a bit large for my use, but It's better to have too much and not use it, than not enough and keep finding the used spots! | ||

Fear not dear friend. While I will rest a spell over and enjoy Dalla's hospitality, some adult beverages and dillo collecting. my focus is in Arizona I have exorcism work to perform on you, Dallas can be a great help since he obviously knows fine Machinery when he sees it. |
