We'll I'm finally getting around to installing my new fuel guage in my 1977 MC8. The bus wasn't equipped with one from the factory.
My guage is MCI part #456E, 24v neg gnd. below that on the ID sticker on the guage reads the numbers 76-13-12.
My question is: there are three lugs on the back of the guage. one is labeled "S", another labeled "G" and the third "I".
My manual dosent give a schematic for the guage wiring.
Anyone know the correct wiring for the guage?
Thanks Chuck

the "I" is ignition..please don't get things mixed up & send 24 volts to the fuel tank...this wire hooks up to your ignition switch ,hot only with the switch turned on...

two dogs has the right of it, I for ignition switch
G for ground and S for sender, and Frank it wouldn't have been so bad, a hot wire to the I terminal on the gauge would not send 24V to the sender in the tank, the gauge would simply read at all times!
